JuE Wong’s unconventional business background began in Commodities Trading where she led a $2.5 billion trading portfolio. Now a senior executive with diverse international and domestic experience and decades of proven leadership on cosmetic and skin care brands as dissimilar as StriVectin and Elizabeth Arden, she’s considered one of the "go-to" progressive executives known for driving intrinsic change to increase portfolio value through both traditional and emerging channels. Her latest successes include capturing the Glossy Award for Best in Show and the most-watched YouTube beauty video, "From the Desk of Liz Arden" in May 2017, which generated 90 million global views and $1.6 million in revenue with a $345,000 total investment. Wong, who served as President of Elizabeth Arden, joined Morocccaoil where she’s now responsible for driving increased sales in the professional salon channel as well as leading continued expansion in high growth channels such as travel retail and e-commerce for the Israel-based company. She will also steer research and innovation, the core of Moroccanoil’s long-term strategy, leading expansion into new product categories, while strengthening and diversifying the current portfolio by spearheading the brand’s Product Development team in a bid to boost the science and technology behind Moroccanoil hair care and skin care products based upon Argan Oil.
Originally from Singapore, JuE is an honors graduate of The Australian National University where she received the International Alumnus of the Year Award in 2014.She was also an exchange student at UCLA. In 2004, the Wall Street Journal nominated her for "The Top 50 Women to Watch", and in 2015 she won The Stevie Award for “Female Executive of the Year." JuE serves on the Boards of the NY Chapter of the YMCA and Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW).This is a don’t miss presentation exploring just how creative product marketing can be while also covering the basics of building a brand for acquisition or for investors.
